Gas Storage Denmark plans a well operation in the natural gas salt cavern well To-8 for Q3 2023 at which the production string will be replaced. The anchor seal of the packer will be removed, and before installation of a new anchor seal assembly the seal area needs to be cleaned as good as possible. The project aims to gain knowledge about the tools on the market for this operation.

The project search for tools that can clean the anchor seal area by brushing without scratching the surface of the anchor seal area. The tool is preferrable at brush with the optimal shape and hardness that can rotate and reach the casing with some force. The project would like to know how the tools on the market can meet these functional requirements.

Beside this does the tool string also have to be suitable for the casing: the tool string shall be able to pass all restrictions incl. restriction due to the misalignment of the production string at the cut.

As part of this dialogue with the market the project will also like to gain knowledge of cleaning tools for the cleaning of the top of a plug in the tail pipe and inside the tailpipe after pulling the plug. The liquid/dirt/debris to be cleaned out is expected to be brine with debris/grease.
