         På baggrund af færdiggørelse af KIP-projektets første del (Del I) med Hal III, stadion, Byggeret 1 og 2 med tilhørende infrastruktur blev det i oktober 2021 vedtaget at realisere anden del (Del II). Det overordnede formål med realiseringen er, at der etableres et stadion med 6.000 overdækkede siddepladser. Herved opnås et stadion, som opfylder de gældende licenskrav til superligadeltagelse og de forventede krav for værtsstadioner til WEURO 25.

         Køge Kommune agter at indbyde 3 deltagere efter forudgående prækvalifikation til at afgive bud på baggrund at byggeprogram med tilhørende vejledende udbudsprojekt.

         Køge Kommune udbyder i totalentreprise med mulighed for forhandling, henset til opgavens kompleksitet i forbindelse med færdiggørelse af eksisterende stadion og de daglige stadionaktiviteter i byggeperioden. I den forbindelse ønsker bygherren en nærmere dialog vedrørende byggetakten på grundlag af input fra de bydende.
