The general aim of the contract to be signed as a result of this procurement is to establish a single framework contract for provision, for the benefit of GSA staff members (and
their family members), of an insurance coverage topping up the existing health and hospitalisation insurance, as set out in the Staff Regulations [the so called Joint Sickness
Insurance Scheme of the European Union (hereinafter "JSIS")], so as to provide reimbursement up to 100 % of health and hospitalisation expenses partially covered by JSIS. Further

The maximum value of the Contract increased from EUR 750 000,00 to EUR 1 125 000,00, all other provisions of the Contract remaining unchanged.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The consumption of the budget under the Contract has been faster than initially foreseen, notably due to higher increase in staff numbers than expected. Amendment has been necessary
to ensure business continuity as reopening of competition would not have been possible under a short timeframe.
