         Le marché concerne l’aménagement de la RN30 de Kavimvira (frontière Burundi) à Uvira. Le point de départ est la jonction avec la RN5. La longueur du projet est de 6,800 km.

         Sa zone est marécageuse et impactée par les variations de niveau du Lac Tanganyika. La route est construite essentiellement en remblai. A la suite de la montée des eaux du lac en 2020, ces eaux affleurent le niveau de la chaussée dans la partie basse de la route. Il sera utile de rehausser la digue. Afin de garantir sa stabilité et de ne pas perturber le fonctionnement hydraulique du pont, des dalots seront incorporés dans le nouveau remblai et les talus seront protégés par des perrés.

         La RN30 est située entièrement en milieu urbain. Elle sera aménagée comme suit : une chaussée bidirectionnelle avec 2 voies de largeur 3,5 m, revêtues de béton bitumineux ; 2 accotements de largeur 1,5 m revêtus d’un enduit bicouche ; 2 trottoirs piétons de largeur de 1,5 m ; des aires stationnements tous les 500 m
