Description

The Region of Queens Municipality invites proposals from passionate individuals, businesses, and community organizations to bring new energy and creativity to a small but vibrant kiosk space at Beach Meadows Beach - a seasonal use facility located at Beach Meadows Beach, 48 Beach Meadows Beach Road, Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. We are seeking proposals of services or activities that will enhance the atmosphere, serve the community and seasonal visitors, and contribute to the welcoming, coastal charm that defines Beach Meadows in Queens County.


Facility Description: The available space is a compact, single-room kiosk located within the beach services building (approximately 2.8 m x 3.4 m) connected to the public restrooms and situated by the most-frequented beach access point because of the seasonal installation of accessible MOBI Mats.

Facility inclusions:
• Large, shuttered serving window facing the high-traffic parking area
• Power and internet connectivity
• Seven double electrical outlets (counter height)
• Three-compartment stainless steel sinks
• One 220v cooker outlet (floor level)
• Ceiling exhaust fan
• Wiring in place for cooker hood or additional lighting

Proposals should include:
- Concept & Intended Use: Describe your vision by sharing a brief description of the proposed service or activity.
