School District No. 62 (Sooke) (the “District”) invites Quotes from qualified consulting firms to provide IT consulting and professional services that will support the District’s broader
IMIT Organizational Review and multiyear IMIT Roadmap initiative. This opportunity is intended to deliver focused technical assessments and optimization recommendations in several priority
areas of the District’s technology environment, including security infrastructure, identity management, core IT infrastructure, and endpoint management. The District is seeking consulting
firms with demonstrated experience supporting K–12 public school districts in British Columbia and a strong understanding of the operational, privacy, cybersecurity, and service delivery
requirements unique to the public education sector.
The purpose of this work is to help the District better understand its current-state technical posture, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and inform future planning, investment, and
modernization efforts. Through this Invitation to Quote (ITQ), the District intends to engage one or more qualified Contractors to complete one or more of the following Bundles: Bundle 1 –
Security Assessment Services, including network vulnerability assessment and penetration testing; Bundle 2 – Identity Infrastructure Review, including Active Directory health, security, and
account audit; Bundle 3 – IT Infrastructure Optimization Review; and Bundle 4 – Endpoint Management (Intune) Optimization.
This consulting engagement will assess the District’s current-state cybersecurity environment, core data centre and infrastructure operations, endpoint management practices, and identity
management capabilities. This includes a review of matters such as self-service password reset, single sign-on integration with core applications including MyEdBC, automation of user
provisioning and deprovisioning, student registration and identity-related workflows, and broader opportunities to improve access management, security, operational efficiency, resilience, and
user experience across the District’s technology and infrastructure environment. The work is intended to identify current-state risks, control gaps, service improvement opportunities, and
technical optimization priorities, and to provide practical recommendations through an assessment and recommendation report for presentation to the District leadership team. The report is
expected to support future modernization, governance, service delivery improvements, and investment decisions.
