This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Kamloops (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Outdoor Amenities and Landscaping Services
[Medium Scale]
The City is seeking qualified contractors to assist with the design and construction of its Outdoor Amenities infrastructure programs, specifically as related to Parks Amenities and Landscaping
To ensure best value and for contractors to best align with their skills with the projects, the work is split into two streams – small scale (<$100,000) and medium scale
($100,000-$10,000,000). This opportunity is specifically focused on medium scale.
For medium scale projects, the City will qualify up to three (x3) contractors for delivery of services across each of the noted streams of work. These projects will seek to involve the
contractor early so design can be finalized collaboratively through a coordinated team. Working together transparently on risk management will ensure fairness by making sure projects are scoped
fully, it also allows for material procurement risk mitigation through early purchase and storage. The intent with early involvement is to mitigate risks for project as much as possible,
whether in terms of cost, supply chain, schedule, or constructability. An MMCD Unit rate Contract, CCDC2, CCDC5, or CCD14 may be used based as the project delivery model that provides the best
value to the City.
