Overview of the Work All civil underground construction services must comply with the established technical, safety, environmental, and quality standards detailed below. These requirements are
applicable to both Program Work and Project Work. The key distinction between the two lies in the method of work allocation, determined by the complexity of the project:
• Program Work is intended for repeatable and scalable activities that can be standardized and priced on a unit basis within each sub-region. The total annual spend for Program Work is
estimated at ~ $80 million across the province. o The updated unit list is included with this NTV for your reference, along with the job aid outlining unit definitions and usage guide.
• Project Work encompasses complex, unique scopes that require a secondary sourcing process and are competitively priced on a lump sum basis to account for specific design criteria, site
conditions, and associated risk factors. The projected annual spend for Project Work is ~ $50 million, covering approximately 25 projects throughout the province each year
