Description

The Town of Blackfalds will soon be issuing a formal Invitation to Tender for the construction of the McKay Ranch Lift Station. This lift station was previously tendered in 2022 but cancelled because of a slowdown in development of the area. The intent is for the lift station to be substantially completed and operational by spring of 2027, and completed in entirety by early fall of 2027. This project will involve the construction of a new sewage lift station complete with pumphouse superstructure, facility components, incoming and outgoing sewer and water tie-ins, and general site work. The lift station will be approximately 11 metres deep and dewatering is expected to be a significant requirement for construction. The design and specifications package is being updated, largely to reflect current Building Code requirements.
