The City of Beaumont manages essential water and wastewater infrastructure and is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide mechanical, instrumentation and
electrical inspection, maintenance, and routine and emergency repairs of the water, wastewater and system components, including systems located at two pumphouses: the Main Pumphouse and the St.
Vital Pumphouse in Beaumont, AB. Equipment at the pumphouses include pumps, valves, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and other
electrical and mechanical equipment. The City has the VTScada software program and the Supplier selected must have experience with this type of SCADA software.
Inspections are required monthly and on an annual basis. Monthly inspections are normally conducted during the first week of the month. The City will advise the Supplier of the specific
timeframes for the monthly and annual inspections. Other storm water and wastewater lift stations are expected to come online in the next 1-5 years. The selected Supplier is required to act as
the prime contractor for the work scope, coordinating all activities required to ensure that the work completed follows manufacturer’s requirements outlined in operation and maintenance
manuals, industry best practices and the City’s requirements. Work shall conform to Canadian Standards Association (CSA), OHS, building codes and manufacturer instructions for the mechanical,
instrumentation and electrical equipment at each facility.
