The District is seeking to undertake a comprehensive review and update of its 2001 Strategic Agricultural Plan (SAP), culminating in the adoption of a new plan by Council. The SAP will consider a wide range of policies for strengthening the local agricultural sector, with an emphasis on taking a regenerative approach that results in improved agricultural viability and variety, increased climate, disaster and economic resilience, and greater food security outcomes for residents.
