Description

Notice is hereby given that Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (the “Health Authorities”), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Micro Electrode Recording (MER) Consumables for University of British Columbia Hospital for a term of 5 Years at an estimated value of $80K per year or $400K over the term.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

• The goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier, and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
• Due to an absence of competition for technical reasons
• University of British Columbia Hospital is the only site currently utilizing the Micro Electrode Recording Equipment. Alpha Omega Co. is the only manufacturer and distributor of this therapy equipment. Suppliers who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of Gaillie Au, by email before 2:00 pm Pacific Time, December 22, 2025.
  PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
