The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to conduct ongoing studies of issues affecting the Canadian oil sands industry to develop an economic model to permit the
analysis of ongoing growth in the Canadian oil sands industry.
The work will involve the following:
• Forecasting Canadian oil sands production growth to 2030 and beyond.
• Creating reports on key developments affecting the oil sands industry involving a cross section of opinions from federal, provincial and industry sources.
• Holding several workshops per year on issues affecting the Canadian oil sands industry.
• A senior official from the company must make at least 2 presentations per year to NRCan on key developments affecting the oil sands industry.
