Description

A web-based system has been in place in Alberta since January 2019 that gives all water and wastewater operators in Alberta the ability to track their operational experience, certification, training, and education. The Solution is intended to accomplish the following:

• Provide internal Users (Certification Section) with a web-based system to administer an efficient and effective Water & WasteWater Operator Certification Program;
• Provide Internal Users (i.e. regional staff) with access to apply individual facility classification to individual facilities;
• Provide External Users (i.e. Alberta water and wastewater operators, municipalities, facility owners, including First Nations and Alberta Health Services, course/training providers and other provincial jurisdictions) the ability to input information in the Solution and submit requests;
• Import current data from existing system into successfully selected system; and
• Allow the importation/exportation of industry standard document formats and support digital interfaces.
