The purpose of this Request for Information (the “RFI”) is to gather information to determine market capabilities, improve BCNET’s understanding of potential opportunities for Enterprise Video Platforms, and explore potential models for future adoption by members. Additionally, the RFI is also to obtain high level budgeting information and provide the marketplace an opportunity to comment on their ability to support BCNET’s objectives. This enhanced understanding will assist BCNET in identifying next steps towards the preferred option. BCNET and its members have historically benefited from national sectoral frameworks which offered standardized deliverables, Canadian data residency, discounted educational pricing, and broad service features (e.g., LMS integration, virtual classroom, live streaming, and 24/7 support). As this framework approaches expiry, BCNET is seeking to assess the broader marketplace to determine whether to extend similar arrangements on a short-term basis or to proceed with a competitive procurement process for a longer-term agreement.
