Description

Scope of Work/Overview:
Create areas of accessible fire rated refuge area on floors 2 and 3. This requirement was identified during a PSPC fit up project where it was determined landings in fire exit stairwells were not large enough to accommodate 2 wheelchairs. Constructed refuge must be identified with appropriate FIP signage and meet applicable code requirements for size and fire rating.

All respondents must submit their questions for clarification on this portal only at www.bgis.merx.com. Request for clarification delivered by any other method will not be accepted.

Check section 5.3.4. in Invitation to Tender (ITT) document for ‘Mandatory Requirements’

Appendix A at page 20 0f Invitation to Tender (ITT) must be duly completed and submitted.

Bids submitted at $100,000 or greater must upload the following bid security (“Bid Security”) in Merx:

• a bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date; and
• a confirmation from the Bidder’s surety (a performance bond and labor and materials payment bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price + Value Added Taxes) that, upon the Bidder being selected as the Selected Bidder, to furnish any contract security prescribed in the Contract in respect of the Work.
