Description

1. Sealed or emailed bids will be received by Village of Bible Hill for a:

VENTILATION UPGRADE AT COMMISSION OFFICE BUILDING
67 PICTOU ROAD, BIBLE HILL, NS, B2N 2R92.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
2.1. Demolition and proper disposal of the existing two split air conditioning systems and ductwork.
2.2. Addition of a split variable refrigerant flow, air to air heat pump system with branch box. Add one exterior condensing unit on a snow stand and concrete pad, and three indoor vertical fan coil units. Indoor units to include electric coil for back-up heating.
2.3. Remove and replace the existing HRV with a new ERV-01. Adjust the ductwork layout.
2.4. Addition of a condensate pump and connection of the indoor heat pump units to the existing sanitary system. Removal of the existing condensate piping.
2.5. Installation of electric baseboard and forced flow heaters.
2.6. Testing, adjusting and balancing of all existing and new air systems.
2.7. Start-up of all equipment by a manufacturer-approved agent.
2.8. Removal, reinstallation or repair of building finishes to undertake the upgrade work.
2.9. Remove the electrical service to equipment designated for removal and provide newelectrical connections for new equipment.
2.10.Revise the ductwork layout in the ground-floor open office area.
2.11.Install manufacturer controls so equipment runs in accordance with the manufacturer’s written recommendations

MANDATORY SITE VISIT
.1Bids will only be accepted from Mechanical Contractors who attend a mandatory site tour and walk-through, scheduled for Thursday November 13, 2025 at10:00 AM.
.2The site tour is not mandatory for sub-contractors.
.3The person attending the mandatory walkthrough must be a principal of the firm,estimator employed by the firm, or a ticketed gas, pipe or sheet metal tradesmen,with valid TQ number, indicative of competency in mechanical systems installation and an understanding of the project requirements described by the Owner
