Description

General scope of work to include the supply and install of five (5) electric resistive steam humidifiers in the Penthouse that will supply a direct steam injection manifold in each respective AHU.
-Each electric resistive steam humidifier will be sized for their respective AHUs and consists of a resistive heating element and stainless-steel canister, steam distribution piping, and a steam injection manifold.
-Each humidifier shall be connected to a filtered domestic cold-water supply, equipment with backflow prevention, and drained to an appropriate fixture.
-In terms of the control sequence of operations, the operating sequence will change from the operation of existing spray pumps to a proportional steam control output from the DDC system, in order to maintain return air relative humidity at setpoint. The existing return air relative humidity sensors will be replaced and new high limits cut-out and air flow proving switches will be supplied with the new humidifiers and hardwired.
