The City of Lethbridge is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consultants to complete the detailed design and construction contract management for a new 8-metre-wide gravel road extension that connects the existing western limit of Great Bear Boulevard West to Métis Trail West. This connection will provide improved emergency response times and interim public access until the area is fully developed, and the permanent paved extension of Great Bear Boulevard West is constructed. The project will require review of the existing outline plan and coordination with the landowner/developer (Lethbridge Land) to determine an appropriate temporary alignment that accommodates future subdivision and servicing layouts while minimizing reconstruction.
