The objective of this project, which is the first of a two-phase project, is to facilitate engagement with local Mi’kmaq leadership, as well as City staff, in a collaborative process to define the project’s scope and chart a clear path forward for Phase II, which will be the development of the City’s first Reconciliation Roadmap. Phase II, or the development of the final Reconciliation Roadmap, is not included in the scope of this RFP. The Reconciliation Roadmap will provide a long-term framework and strategy for moving forward in partnership with Indigenous communities on the pathway toward Reconciliation. The City of Charlottetown is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or firms that: are Indigenous-owned; employ Indigenous community members; or can demonstrate previous impact in building partnership or collaboration plans with Mi’kmaq, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit organizations.
