Description

The 16 TACO pumps serving various mechanical systems, i.e. condenser water slab, condenser water for AHU, heating system,glycol heat recovery system, etc., have had their seals fail prematurely on frequent bases causing downtime and high cost associated with frequent maintenance. A technical investgation has been carried out to investigate the reasons for such failure but no obvious causes were found . The work under this project includes but not limited to 1. replace the existing pumps with new pumps of similar capacity. Consider internal fitted EPT elastomer seals for the new pumps.. Currently 6 of the 16 pumps are equipped with VFDs. .Investigate the feasibility of having all the new pumps installed with VFDs. allowing flexbility with capacity and flow balancing , consequently energy saving.. All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and stds.
