Description

Tenders will be received electronically by email to Antoine Lavigueur, with the subject line “SAANICH PUBLIC EVSEs CAP2025-006” and will be received by the Antoine Lavigueur, Climate Action Coordinator, Environmental Innovation of the Capital Regional District up to 2:00 PM local time on November 14th, 2025 at which time they will be opened in “private”.


The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of curbside electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including all associated civil, electrical, and utility works. The scope of work includes excavation, trenching, and backfilling; installation of direct-buried underground cable ducts and conduits; supply of concrete bases and associated components; panelboards, distribution equipment, and roadway lighting connections; as well as seismic restraints, grounding, and system protection measures. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating all trades, obtaining permits and inspections, and delivering a complete, code-compliant, and operational EVSE system. This is only a general description
of the summary of the Work.

A mandatory pre-tender site meeting will begin at the corner of Earl Grey St. and Gorge Rd. W in Saanich at 1:00 p.m. on October 28, 2025. The meeting will continue with site visits at the following additional locations: Wascana St. and Gorge Rd. W, Scotia St. and Glasgow Ave., and Garnet Rd. and Shelbourne St. Attendees are required to provide their own transportation between sites as part of the site review. Tenderers are recommended to visit the sites to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
