Description

The City of Medicine Hat (“the City”) seeks to engage the services of a qualified and experienced Customs Broker (“Broker”) for importing and exporting to and from Canada. The Broker will act on behalf of the City through Power of Attorney to perform customs brokerage services relating to import shipments to Canada from the United States and other countries and export shipments to the United States and other countries as required. The selected Broker will provide comprehensive customs clearance and customs related reporting services, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and trade agreements between Canada and other countries trade agreements as required.

The initial term of the contract shall be for two (2) years from the date of award. Prior to the expiry of the above term and subject to mutual agreement between the City and successful Proponent, this contract may be extended for additional periods of two (2) years each up to a maximum of (8) eight additional years. This may be preceded by a clarification and/or documented adjustment and agreement of unit rates beyond the initial term. For clarity, the term of this contract shall not exceed (10) ten years.
