The Digital & Data Division, which is currently in the Ministry, is the Province’s provider of digital services for students, the education sector and the public. It provides information
and technology services which enables all stages of the K-12 journey with the provision of MyEducation BC and a provincial high speed internet network. The Division also provides a wide range
of IT services to support the operations of the education sector.
MyEducation BC is the enterprise Student Information System (SIS) for the Province, serving all 60 public school districts with approximately 1,847 public schools, 266 independent schools,
eight First Nations schools in British Columbia and, through a memorandum of understanding, 34 schools in the Yukon. It is a comprehensive, web-based service that provides secure access to a
single educational record for each student and common services such as registration, attendance, demographic information, contacts management, student schedules, gradebook, student plans,
learning updates, permanent student records, bus schedules reporting and student, parent and teacher communications. The Province is continuously investing into improvements to the application,
ensuring alignment with emerging sectoral practices and new provincial programs and policies.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather information that may be useful to the Province with respect to a potential future procurement or other process or initiative. This RFI is not: (i) a tender
notice or call for tenders; (ii) a notice of intended procurement; or (iii) a notice of planned procurement.
