Description

The Scope of work involves creating a new Autopsy Suite within VJH. The existing Autopsy Suite, which has been in use since the mid 1960’s, does not meet the current standards and cannot accommodate bariatric clients. Replacement of the Autopsy Suite is imperative to meet Workplace Health & Safety requirements and Infection Prevention & Control Standards, as well as to accommodate bariatric patients, provide consistent chain of custody for specimens, and appropriate storage for hazardous chemicals. The project includes creating a new bariatric Autopsy Suite along with specimen and chemical storage rooms, a dirty and a clean Ante room, Cadaver storage, and the required stretcher access connection to the existing hospital.
