Notice is hereby given by Community Living British Columbia (CLBC), of its intent to enter into a contract with Prince George Association for Community Living (“AiMHi”) to provide the
following Staffed Living and Home-based Community Inclusion services in the City of Prince George, British Columbia:
This program will be a new Staffed Living arrangement for two (2) individuals.
One (1) individual is currently in a 2:1 staffing model with a different agency. The individual’s family, the current agencies, the Representative for Children and Youth (RCY) have all
expressed urgency in changing service providers. This is a high-profile and complex situation given the current dynamics between the involved parties. This individual’s behavioural and health
concerns are escalating, and current quality of care is compromised. This individual has “Prader-Wili Syndrome” - a rare genetic condition that leads to physical, mental and behavioral
challenges.
Other individual is Indigenous and is a transitioning Child in Care (CIC) who will be placed in the program in January 2026. This individual has “Pica”- the psychologically compulsive
craving or consumption of objects that are not normally intended to be consumed. This individual participates in regular overnight family visits outside the home.
Vendors wishing to object to this decision should submit in writing by facsimile or email to the contact identified above on or before 14:00PM Pacific Time on September 19, 2025 detailing
specific reasons for the objection and proof of capability to deliver the required services.
