Description

Public Health Ontario (PHO) believes that the following procurement qualifies as a sole source or single source procurement. The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other suppliers capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following services for PHO.
Vendor – Phoenix Airmid Biomedical
Services – Outlined in the ACAN
Purpose – Supply and Delivery of Fujirebio HTLV-1/-2 Score and Fujirebio Serodia TPPA
PHO provides confirmatory testing for syphilis and HTLV for the province of Ontario. TPPA is a gelatin particle assay used to confirm the presence of treponemal antibodies in human serum. HTLV-1/-2 Score is a line immunoassay used to confirm and differentiate antibodies to HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 in human serum. PHO is the reference laboratory for HIV testing in the Province of Ontario. These confirmatory tests are crucial in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of syphilis and HTLV infection.

PHO believes that Phoenix Airmid Biomedical is the sole provider capable of providing all required goods in the Canadian Market that is Health Canada approved.
PHO intends to award a two (2) year contract to Phoenix Airmid Biomedical for the goods described in the ACAN attachment.
