This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by Public Health Ontario (“PHO”) to prospective Canadian proponents only to qualify for eligibility to provide Privacy
Impact Assessment (PIA) Services for a period of up to two (2) years. Non-Canadian proponents are not eligible to participate in this RFSQ.
PHO operates as part of the broader Ontario public service framework, with responsibilities that include safeguarding the personal information of individuals accessing our programs and
services. As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, we conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to evaluate the privacy implications of any new or revised systems,
processes, or projects. This procurement seeks to engage a supplier capable of conducting PIAs to the highest professional and legal standards, ensuring compliance with provincial privacy laws
and frameworks.
PHO may execute multiple agreements with qualified PIA firms that will be contacted on an as needed basis to perform discrete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) assignments.
These PIA’s are critical to ensuring compliance with the Ontario Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA), Public
Health Ontario (PHO) policies, and Ontario government directives. The PIAs will help identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with initiatives, projects, systems, or processes to protect
the public"s personal information.
