Description

The Town of Smithers is inviting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide a comprehensive presentation and report for a Residential, Civic, Commercial and Industrial Land Inventory Assessment, detailing how the Town should approach and inventory residential and employment space within the Town, and tie these lands and demand for space to infrastructure needs.

Highway and downtown commercial and industrial lands with the Town boundary are largely developed, with some scattered undeveloped or underutilized land within these zones. The Town’s Economic Development Plan 2025-2030 identified the need to complete a Residential, Civic, Commercial and Industrial Land Inventory Assessment (the Project) for best utilization of land within the Town boundary as Phase 1 in advancing various strategic aims related to infrastructure planning and community facilities.
