Description

Approximately 38% of the fire dampers are accessible through the existing duct access hatches.There are four duct access hatches which are too small to reset the fusible link for the regulartesting and maintenance procedures. It is recommended to replace the existing duct accesshatches with a bigger duct access hatches at the same location. There are three transfer air ducts which transfers the air between the CAS wing and the corridor. These duct are missing the fire dampers at the corridor fire separation wall. It is recommended to install new fire dampers on these ducts at the fire wall partition as shown in Section 2.5.The existing make-up and exhaust air ducts penetrating the chemical storage room are missing the fire dampers and duct access hatches. It is recommended to install new fire dampers on these ducts at the fire wall partition as shown in Section 2.5. There is one duct access hatch which is blocked by the storage rack base grille. It is recommended to add an additional duct access hatch on the side of the duct to achieve the accessibility.

Event Note

Bidders are advised that there will be a OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, is permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS representative at the Security Desk at 30 1770 Chemin Pink, Gatineau QC. For mandatory site visits, Bidders are only required to attend one scheduled site visit to be eligible to bid. Bidders will be notified of any changes to the date of the site visit by Addenda. Bidders cannot use a representative from another Bidder as its authorized representative to attend the site visit.
2.7.2. All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
2.7.3. Failure of a Bidder to attend a mandatory Site Visit, properly register, sign the BGIS Site Visit Sign-In Sheet and remain present for the duration of the Site Visit will entitle BGIS in its sole discretion to reject such Bidder’s Bid.
2.7.4. Bidders are expected to examine carefully the site(s) at which the Deliverables are to be provided, fully inform themselves of the existing conditions and limitations and include in their Bid a sum to cover the cost of all items contemplated in the Contract.
