Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Strathcona County (the “County”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Mechanical Equipment Replacements for Festival Place, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). Festival Place, built in 1994, is a busy theatre in Sherwood Park that showcases professional and community performing-arts events, including plays, dance and music. The County plans to phase out all gas-fired heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) systems at Festival Place, transitioning instead to community energy sourced from the District Energy Center. While two original boilers have already been removed and hydronic heating from the District Energy Center is in use, much of the HVAC equipment remains original and requires an upgrade. The upgrades will also include enhancements to the building"s mechanical automation system.
