Description

The purpose of this Request for Quotation is to solicit the best overall price for the City of Trail’s Dust Suppressant Program. The term of the agreement is three (3) years with a possibility of two, one (1) year extensions. Pricing to remain in effect for the initial 3 years and will be subject to review prior to any extension. The program is expected to commence in early June of each contract year and be completed no later than the end of June.

Water shall be free of contaminants that could adversely affect fill material or the environment. Water for dust suppressant solution shall be free of foreign material that would alter the solution or cause blockage in the spray equipment.

Calcium chloride solution shall be according to CAN/CGSB 15.1, Type L, Class 1, and shall be homogeneously mixed.

Magnesium chloride solution used as dust suppressant shall contain a minimum 30%, by mass, of pure magnesium chloride.
