Description

Lac La Biche County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide seasonal horticulture services throughout the municipality for the plant care cycle of 2025. The County will supply all plant materials, planters, mulch, and fertilizer. The successful contractor will provide all necessary labour, tools, vehicles, and water access to complete the services. Work includes regular maintenance and care of municipal flower displays in the hamlets of Lac La Biche and Plamondon, including: Watering, fertilizing, and weeding of approximately 82 hanging baskets and 51 concrete planters (precast and permanent). Care of at-grade flower beds at various municipal locations, including County buildings, welcome signs, parks, and roadside medians. Planting of annuals and light mulching at designated areas such as the Bold Centre and Community Garden beds. General seasonal upkeep, including pruning, deadheading, replacing failed plants, and addressing maintenance needs as directed. Contractors must provide reliable and efficient services throughout the season, maintain a consistent schedule, and ensure the health and visual appeal of municipal horticulture assets. Regular reporting and communication with County staff is required. All work is to be completed to a high standard of care and professionalism.
