Description

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, ICBC, hereby gives notice that it intends to direct award a contract to IMIMOBILE Canada ULC, located at 400-60 Adelaide St E, Toronto M5C 3E4 for continued SMS Aggregator Services.

ICBC uses SMS (short message service) for customer communication as part of its new customer strategy. It aims to utilize short text for customer communication. There have been industry changes to this area, and ICBC would like to further investigate new SMS features and requirements, to better understand how these support the new customer strategy.

The contract extension is for one year. The overall value is approximately $130,000.00 plus taxes.

ICBC plans to issue a public procurement solicitation for the same or a similar tool/ service in 2026.

Vendors wishing to object to this decision should send an email to sourcing@icbc.com by April 22, 12:00 PM PT with specific reasons for their objection and citing “NOI 5748 SMS Services” in the email message subject line. Vendor solutions and qualifications, compliance with B.C. laws and the ability to provide the same products or same level of service at a lower cost in a timely manner will be the key criteria with regard to the consideration of vendor’s objections.
