Description

This RFP is being issued by Provincial Health Services Authority (“ PHSA”) to identify a Proponent(s) to enter into a non-exclusive Contract between a Proponent(s) and the PHSA, for the supply of vaccine(s) for the prevention of pneumococcal infections with a focus on invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) as described in Appendix G, Specifications (the “ Product(s)”) to the health authorities.
The Province of BC (the “Province”) currently uses the Prevnar 13 (manufactured by Pfizer Inc. or “Pfizer”) and Pneumovax 23 (manufactured by the Merck Group or “Merck”) vaccines to provide protection against pneumococcal infections. Both Pfizer and Merck are able to respond to this RFP.
The BC Centre for Disease Control (“BC CDC”), a program of the Provincial Health Services Authority, provides provincial and national leadership in disease surveillance, detection, treatment, prevention and consultation.
