• The Ministry of Education is conducting an invitation to bid process to select a Vendor to collaboratively work with Ministry staff to implement and deliver a simplified English and French user interface (UI)/user experience (UX) solution for the Education Capital Information System (ECIS) which is based on the IBM TRIRIGA platform. The UI/UX interface is to act as a stand-alone application, to be integrated with the IBM TRIRIGA platform, and allow end users to simply, efficiently, and more accurately complete tasks such as entering and updating data within ECIS. The UI/UX application should be decoupled from the underlying application functionality and business logic, to minimize the risk on existing ECIS application logic.
• Scope of Work
  A high priority for the Ministry is to have a UI/UX framework to support the Data Review and Verification process, allowing each school board to view data relevant to their assets and update ECIS information using a simplified workflow in ECIS.
  The vendor is expected to deliver a solution using the IBM TRIRIGA UI/UX Framework integrating with ECIS. The key deliverables include:
  Deliverable 1: UI/UX Application
  The Vendor shall provide a UI/UX interface, including page structure, layout, information architecture, user flow, functionality, and intended behaviours.
  • Allow users to connect/log into ECIS
  • Available in both French & English
  • Be AODA compliant
  • Allow users to submit information while reducing data entry (e.g., one field on the UI/UX form can then submit data into multiple sections of ECIS)
  Deliverable 1A: Form 1 – Provides the ability to add, update, delete information on Assets
  Deliverable 1B: Form 2 – Provides the ability to add, update, delete information on Organization
  Deliverable 1C: Form 3 – Provides the ability to add, update, delete information on Occupancy (i.e., link between Organization and Assets)
  Deliverable 1D: Landing page linking to key forms and scalable to future enhancements
  Deliverable 2: Maintenance and Support of the UI/UX application
  Deliverable 3: Knowledge Transfer & Documentation
