Description

The Corporation of the Village of Cumberland (“The Village”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to enter a contract for services for the completion of deconstruction of several derelict structures in Coal Creek Historic Park, which will also include the construction of a temporary creek crossing and post deconstruction restoration.

The Souther House Deconstruction project will mitigate risks to the public and surrounding habitat through the deconstruction of several derelict structures in Coal Creek Historic Park. This will require the construction of a temporary creek crossing and post deconstruction restoration of the creek crossing site. Additional restoration works are listed as secondary deliverables.

The Village is seeking a prime-contractor to complete this project during the period of August 1 to September 30, 2024.

A mandatory meeting for proponents will be held on-site prior to the RFP submission deadline. The date for this site meeting will be Wednesday April 10, at 9:30 am, meeting at the parking lot of the No.1 Japanese Townsite parking lot at 2211 Comox Lake Road. Alternate site meeting times may be requested but staff cannot guarantee availability.
