Description

Alberta Parks staff collects garbage daily from garbage cans at several locations within our provincially operated campgrounds. The garbage is then taken to one or more central locations within the park for storage in large bins which are provided by the approved Vendor. There may be a single transfer site or there may be multiple transfer sites within the listed locations. The selected Vendor then dumps the bins as requested by the Park Maintenance Coordinator.

Parks Operations Division strives to maintain a clean and safe environment of the Provincial Parks and Provincial Recreation Areas under its jurisdiction. These contracts will ensure that the campground sites within the Provincial Parks and Provincial Recreation Areas are clean and safe for public use.

This work consists of the provision of solid waste bins and pick up and disposal of solid waste to an approve landfill site. Collection frequency can be set up on an automatic schedule as set by the District Maintenance Coordinator or on an on call basis, or a combination of both within an annual period, with expected service within 24 hours.
