Description

Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for interested suppliers to become vendors of record to perform work required to turnover approximately 100 to 150 residential rental units a year. SHIP is seeking 2 to 3 vendors to become vendors of record to provide unit turnover services.

Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP)’s mission is to support those with mental health and addiction challenges to increase their quality of life and live to their full potential through safe, affordable and supportive community based housing and services.

Several challenges contribute to the pressing need for renovating apartment units in supportive housing, including:
• Aging Infrastructure; Accessibility; Health and Safety Concerns; Functional Obsolescence; Community Integration
The primary goals of renovating apartment units in supportive housing are:
• Enhance Livability; Ensure Safety and Accessibility; Promote Sustainability; Modernize Infrastructure; Foster Community Well-being

SHIP will be looking for 2 to 3 vendors that will be available to perform these unit turnovers in a cost effective and timely manner. Unit turnovers would be required on SHIP owned buildings and units SHIP rents from third party landlords. The units SHIP operates that would require turnovers are located throughout Peel Region, the County of Dufferin and west Toronto. SHIP would have the ability to call on any of the vendors of record to perform a unit turnover during the term of the contract.
A list of the typical services that are required for a unit turnover are provided in the pricing schedule.
