Description

Scope of Work/Overview:

Provide a Base Bid Price for the renovation of the at the Pigeon River Border Crossing, which mainly includes, but not limited to the following:

• Installation of new buried potable water tanks, complete with insulation, fill piping, supply piping, venting, and valving to accommodate trucked water delivery.
• Tie in new potable water tank supply piping to existing buried potable water piping from water treatment building to point of entry building.
• Tie in previously installed UV disinfection and filtration equipment in point of entry building to potable water distribution system.
• Installation of wireless call-out system for potable water tank filling/alarms.
• Installation of new fire water signage and suction piping for pumper truck use.
• Install new non-submersible potable water pumps complete with pressure switches and pressure tank as indicated.
• Refer to consultant generated plans and specifications for further detailed scope of work.

  Anticipated construction end date: October 25, 2024.

Check section 5.3.4. in Invitation to Tender (ITT) document for ‘Mandatory Requirements’

Bids submitted at $100,000 or greater must upload the following bid security (“Bid Security”) in Merx:

• a bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date; and
• a confirmation from the Bidder’s surety (a performance bond and labor and materials payment bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price + Value Added Taxes) that, upon the Bidder being selected as the Selected Bidder, to furnish any contract security prescribed in the Contract in respect of the Work.
