1. The GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO intends to apply for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Metrô de São Paulo Linha 2 – Expansão and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract[1] for Engineering Design, Supply and Implementation of the Electric Supply Systems, Auxiliary Systems and Telecommunication Systems for Extension and Modernization from Juatuba VSE to Padre Joao VSE of Sao Paulo Subway Line 2 Green

2. The COMPANHIA DO METROPOLITANO DE SÃO PAULO - METRÔ now invites sealed Proposes from eligible Proposers for Engineering Design, Supply and Implementation of the Electric Supply Systems, Auxiliary Systems and Telecommunication Systems for Extension and Modernization from Juatuba VSE to Padre Joao VSE of Sao Paulo Subway Line 2 Green

3. RFP will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Proposals (RFP) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” from November 2020, (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Proposers as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Proposers may obtain further information from and inspect the RFP document during office hours from 09 a.m to 5 p.m at the address given below.

5. The RFP document in English, as well as its translation to Portuguese may be obtained for free at: www.metro.sp.gov.br.

6. Proposals must be delivered to the address below on or before 09:00 a.m. March 16, 2023. Electronic proposals will not be permitted. Late Proposals will be rejected. Proposals will be publicly opened in the presence of the Proposers’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at Rua Boa Vista, 175, 2nd floor, room 9, Centro, São Paulo – SP, Brazil on 10:00 a.m. March 16, 2023.

7. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Security of R$ 19.800.000,00 (nineteen million and eight hundred thousand reais) or US$ 3,725,000.00 (three million, seven hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars)

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful Proposer’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
