Het iconisch poortgebouw dient een ijkingspunt voor de omgeving te worden, zichtbaar vanuit alle windrichtingen en dus minstens substantieel hoger te zijn dan de omringende logistieke gebouwen.

          In het kader van de logistieke werking van POM Limburg overweegt de POM een deel van het gebouw casco (meer bepaald het volledige of delen van het gelijkvloers en de eerste verdieping; oppervlakte nog te bepalen) al dan niet tijdelijk te gebruiken of te verwerven. Dit zal mede afhangen in functie van het bod dat van de kandidaat-koper en zal dan ook in de gunningsfase in voorkomend geval worden geformuleerd als een vereiste optie in de zin van artikel 56, § 1 Overheidsopdrachtenwet.
