• Masters in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Statistics, Economics or relevant areas with coursework in insurance, finance, or risk management.
• Must demonstrate strong knowledge and practical experience in both international and domestic insurance and reinsurance markets, including capital market–based risk transfer instruments (e.g., catastrophe bonds, insurance-linked securities, swaps) and other innovative disaster risk financing mechanisms.
• Must have experience working with insurance and reinsurers to ensure the most appropriate coverage, trigger and coverage options through transparent, competitive negotiation/procurement processes.

Project Director, Jamuna River Sustainable Management Project-1 (Disaster risk financing), now invites applications from eligible applicants to express their interest in providing their services (complete CV with detailed information about employment history with duties and responsibilities, expected remuneration, academic details, major publications (if any), contact address including telephone number & e-mail). The applicant will be selected by using the Selection of Individual Consultant described in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers (Fourth Edition, November 2020). It is expected that the service will commence in March 2026, and to be continued for up to June 2028 or the project period as amended.
