of following equity titles (dependant upon selected subscription type) : PLOS Biology; PLOS

Medicine, Water, PLOS Climate, PLOS Global Public Health, PLOS ONE, PLOS Genetics,

PLOS Pathogens, PLOS Neglecte4d Tropical Diseases, PLOS Digital Health. The

agreement will be for Jisc members to use and not for Jisc"s own use.

Explanation

PLOS is the only supplier who is able to provide this resource.

Therefore Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the protection of exclusive rights,

including intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32 (2) (b) (iii) of the

Public Contracts Regulations 2015, permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.

Jisc Services Limited incorporated a standstill period at the point information about

the contract was shared by means of a VEAT notice. The VEAT notification provided information on the award decision.
