B807 - Universal Free School Meals - Kitchen Pods

Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) announces this contract Award Notice for the Universal Free School Meals - Kitchen Pods.

This is A Further Competition of the ESPO Framework Agreement Reference 953_22 Modular Buildings Lot 3B (Purchase) Refers.

The following is a brief outline of the requirements as published on ETenderWales:

The Customer intends appointing a Lead Contractor to fully undertake and assume full responsibility for the delivery of the Contract, in close liaison with the Authority’s Appointed Person(s).

The attention of Tenderers is drawn to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 which came into force on 6th April 2015. It is proposed to formally appoint the successful Tenderer as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer under the Regulations at the time of contract Award.

The Customer requires a full Turnkey solution for the Design and Build of up to three (3) purpose built Modular Buildings, fitted out with selected Kitchen Equipment and Facilities. Each Modular Building is to be installed at a different School / Site Location.

The Tenderer is to provide with his Bid Submission, a rolling Programme of Works for this Turnkey Design and Build package of multi-site requirements, that clearly identifies all stages of the delivery of the contract (If successful) from the Site Information Reports, Site Visits, Planning and Building Control, Groundworks (Including liaison with the Customers Utilities provider), to the manufacture of the Modular Building to delivery and installation, fit-out of the Kitchen Equipment and Facilities, connection to utilities, Testing, Commissioning and final Modular Building sign-off and handover to the Customer.
