Evaluation of ERDF-funded project Minesto Deep Green Phase 2

We are looking for an experienced project evaluation consultant to conduct a full evaluation of Minesto’s ERDF project in Wales, in line with the requirements outlined by the Welsh Government in the agreed Business Plan. The successful candidate will not be required to deliver any technical evaluation with regard to Minesto’s Deep Green Technology.

The candidate will be required to read all project material, interview project staff and conduct an independent, third-party evaluation regarding the success of the project and lessons learned.

The evaluation should be presented in the form of a report. The final report will require translation into Welsh (translation cost should be included in the submitted tender).

Minesto expects the supplier to spend some days in the Minesto offices in Holyhead to gather project information (this is non-negotiable). The supplier will be required to work on his/her own initiative once the initial investigative period has ended – this work can be conducted at the supplier’s own premises

Key Qualifications:

• Experience in delivering EU-funded project evaluations (evidenced by case studies)

• Understanding of the Welsh Government EU Structural Funding programme 2014-2020. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

• Minesto is an international company, however, the working language is English.

Relates to the following project/programme financed by EU Community Funds: The Deep Green Phase 2 (DGP2) project was part of the Operational Programme ERDF West Wales and the Valleys 2014-2020. The operation number is 82255. The project was required to deliver a number of objectives as part of the funding contract, including the preparation of a tidal site and establishment of Minesto’s UK HQ in Wales (full access to the agreed Business Plan will be provided to the successful tenderer).
