SANTIAGO NETWORK CFP/SN/24039/2026/NAM/005 - Enhancing capacities to access loss and damage financing in Namibia (Албания - Тендер #70987424)

The Santiago Network Secretariat is issuing this call for proposals to catalyze technical assistance from organizations, bodies, networks, and experts (OBNEs) in response to a request from Namibia.

The requested technical assistance aims to enhance Namibias capacities to plan, finance and implement initiatives to avert, minimise and address loss and damage. This will be achieved through the development of a national loss and damage financing framework and strengthened institutional coordination. The achievement of this objective is expected to enhance access to loss and damage financing and resource mobilisation, increase the resilience of communities to withstand and cope with climate-induced risks, and strengthen institutional capacities and coordination.

The Santiago Network was established in 2019 under the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) as a mechanism to catalyze technical assistance from relevant OBNEs to avert, minimize, and address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change at local, national, and regional levels. This support is intended for developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
