Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) Below is a summary of the work to be performed: 1. Develop and design comprehensive, and project custom-made OSH and ESS material for the awareness sessions with all required OSH and ESS checklist for monitoring the project’s implementation. 2. Identify all environmental, social and OSH- related hazards related to each site and develop and implement OSH and ESS plans, including hazard mitigation and safe work procedures. 3. Conduct regular monthly awareness seminars for the ministry staff, the field team and workers. 4. Promote a safety culture among workers through regular toolbox talks, signage, and practical demonstrations, on-site coaching and training for the engineers, technicians and workers. 5. Conduct regular field inspections to monitor adherence to safety protocols, report incidents, investigate accidents, provide corrective actions and work with the site engineer and forepersons to address all OSH and ESS gaps. 6. Ensure MOA’s adherence to the Cash-for-Work SOP. 7. Ensure transparency in the recruitment process and MOA’s adheren 8. Ensure decent work conditions are applied through the formal employment of Syrians and the registration of all workers with the Social Security Corporation scheme, and MOS’s compliance with the social security law regarding the age of workers. 9. Ensure gender-specific and PWD OSH and ESS needs are addressed.10. Ensure that the worker payment practice is set in a timely manner11. Support with all other tasks as requested by the project team.
