SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE
Invitation for Initial Selection

REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
SANITATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE CITIES OF SHAKHRISABZ, KITAB AND KARMANA, UZBEKISTAN
CONSTRUCTION OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
IN THE CITY OF KITAB (DESIGN-BUILD-OPERATE)

The Joint Stock Company “Uzsuvta’minot” (hereinafter referred to as the "Employer"), within the scope of the Sanitation Development Project in the cities of Shakhrisabz, Kitab, and Karmana, Uzbekistan, is planning to tender the “Construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Kitab (Design-Build-Operate)”, Ref. No. SDP/RFB/01, in accordance with the AFD tender procedures and methods, with financing from Agence Française de Développement (hereinafter referred to as "AFD").
The Employer intends to prequalify firms for Design, Construction and Operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in Kitab City in Kashkadarya Region, with capacity: 12,000 m3/day and based on process: Extended Aeration Activated Sludge System with Advanced Treatment Units.
The water line of the WWTP mainly consists of a head works unit with bypass, mechanical treatment including coarse screens, fine screens and sand/grease removal, followed by the biological treatment consisting of anaerobic tanks, anoxic tanks, aeration tanks, secondary clarifiers, sludge pumping station and advance treatment units. The sludge line is composed of dewatering units and storage/handling area.
Detailed information (including prequalification selection process) is provided in the Prequalification Document.
The Employer intends to initially select a maximum of 6 firms for the Construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Kitab. The RfB will be sent to the shortlisted candidates by March 2025 (tentative schedule).
Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information and inspect the prequalification documents at the office of AFD PIU – branch of JSC “Uzsuvtaminot” (address below) from 9-00 a.m.– 18-00 p.m. (Tashkent time). A complete set of the Initial Selection Documents in English may be obtained by interested applicants by (a) submitting a written application to the e-mail address below and (b) transfer a non-refundable fee of 150 USD or in equivalent amount of Uzbek sum using the exchange rate published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the date of transfer of non-refundable fee to the bank account indicated below. The method of transfer will be direct deposit to the following bank account numbers:
• In Uzbek Soums:2262 6000 3051 9488 2008
• In US Dollars: 2262 6840 9051 9488 2008
mentioning that the payment is for REF. NO. SDP/RFB/01.
The documents will be sent by e-mail or submitted in print form by-hand according Applicant’s request. The documents may also be sent by airmail for overseas delivery for additional fee of 150 USD and surface mail of courier for local delivery for an equivalent in Uzbek Sum at the exchanges rate published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the date of payment.
Applications for initial selection should be submitted with the firm"s stamp marked on the envelope, clearly stating the full name, trade name, and address of the applicant, along with the works to which the bid belongs. They should be delivered by hand, post, or courier to the address below by 16:00 (local time) on 14th of February, 2025. Late applications may be rejected.
