Assignment Title: Desk review of Climate Smart technologies in Uzbekistan

Reference No. (as per Procurement Plan): SREDP/IC/23/01/01

The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Rural Enterprise Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include Desk review of Climate Smart technologies in Uzbekistan. The Consultant is expected to provide following outputs:

• List of the climate smart technologies (CST) that are in use in Uzbekistan,
• List of possible demonstration on CST that the project can initiate,
• A ToR for hiring partner institutions to undertake implementation of demonstration of CST.

The Second Rural Enterprise Development Project Implementation Unit (PIU) now invites eligible consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants are requested to provide:

• Letter of interest;

• CV indicating relevant compliance with qualification requirements of the ToRs;

You may also attach copies of following documents as evidence of declared qualifications:

• Copies of previous reports on similar assignments;

• A brief description of the proposed methodology and tools.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the individual Consultant selection method set out in the Procurement Regulations.

Expressions of interest can be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by e-mail) by 17:00 hours, 18 June 2024.
